Colorado Springs punk outfit The Sleights have released their new full length, Don’t Worry! It Will All Be Over Soon, in partnership with Rad Girlfriend Records, loud, fast, and fun, The Sleights specialize in punk songs that pair dark lyrics with bright, driving hooks. Lead songwriter Luke Blanton spent years working the infrastructure of other bands’ tours, managing, loading gear, selling merch, filling in wherever needed before deciding to redirect that energy into his own band. The result has been a sustained explosion of productivity, in the past 18 months, The Sleights have played 75-plus shows across the western US and recorded two albums, two EPs, and a split, all out of Colorado Springs, a location that demands real work to turn into a touring advantage. Don’t Worry! It Will All Be Over Soon is the follow-up to 2025’s This One’s Gonna Hurt and features eleven new tracks that push the band’s sound forward. The new album is also the band’s most politically direct yet, something they’ve been hesitant to explore in the past.

“I worked so many shows and filled in for so many bands that at one point it hit me, why the hell am I not doing this with MY band? I started saying no to offers and jumped back into Sleights mode 100%. Colorado, while amazing, is 8 hours from anywhere. We are used to starting a weekend run or tour with a 9-10 hour drive. Somehow we have gotten used to it. We definitely aimed to level up this record both sonically and in terms of songwriting. I think it’s our best to date. We lost a dear friend suddenly right before we recorded it, while I was finishing songs, and the sadness, confusion, and the need to come together to heal was definitely soaked into the material. Everything keeps getting worse for everyone I know and there is a palpable feeling of dread floating in the air. I’m pissed, I think most people are. There are a few songs vocalizing the growing stress many of us feel,” (Luke Blanton)
