The Regans are a punk rock band from Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, where the water is salty, the winters are long, and apparently there are still bad decisions to be made. Playing a catchy, fast-paced blend of Ramonescore and melodic punk, The Regans bring together the hooks of Teenage Bottlerocket, the grit of Banner Pilot, and the punch of Off With Their Heads, with a lyrical approach that doesn’t take itself too seriously. With their new single, Bad Decisions, The Regans kick off a new chapter with their solidified lineup, bringing more East Coast punk energy and proof that sometimes the worst ideas make for the best songs. Bad Decisions is a catchy, fast-paced punk rock song about questionable choices, intrusive thoughts, and knowing better but doing it anyway. Built around the momentum of a night that keeps going wrong but somehow manages to carry on, the song captures the humour and chaos of convincing yourself that one more bad idea can’t possibly hurt.
Bad Decisions is an ode to impulsive decisions, peer pressure, and the refusal to be the person who calls it a night. The track also features Jawsh from Trashed Ambulance, the single brings together longtime musical partners Ozone and Jawsh for their first shared release since Ozone left Trashed Ambulance in 2024. After nearly two decades of playing music and touring together in bands including Chimp Change and Trashed Ambulance, Ozone knew that the song needed the other half of his bad-decision-making team. Bad Decisions also marks the first release featuring The Regans‘ solidified lineup: Ozone on bass and vocals, Maverick and Ira on guitar and backing vocals, and Craig on drums. Bad Decisions is now available through streaming platforms and Bandcamp via High End Denim Records.

“Jawsh and I have been playing music and touring together for almost two decades. We’ve been in a bunch of bands together, including Chimp Change and Trashed Ambulance, and we’ve definitely made our share of questionable decisions along the way. I think we bring out the best in each other, but sometimes that comes with a few bad ideas. I left Trashed Ambulance in 2024 when I moved 5,000 kilometres away, so we haven’t released anything together since then. But we still own High End Denim Records together, and we’re still good friends. When I was writing ‘Bad Decisions’ for The Regans, I knew I needed Jawsh on it. The song needed the other half of my bad-decision-making team. We’ve got almost 20 years of experience making questionable choices together, so he was the obvious guy for the job. It’s great to have him on a release with me again, and it feels pretty fitting that the song bringing us back together is about making bad decisions.” (Ozone)
