LA’s The Hellflowers have released their new single, Creature, that is accompanied by a video that brings the track’s vintage monster-movie atmosphere to life. Creature is a darkly playful love song inspired by vocalist Christina Eskew‘s obsession with the classic monster movie, The Creature from the Black Lagoon. Part vintage horror fantasy and part unrequited love song, Creature captures the irresistible pull of falling for someone, or something, you can never truly have, blending punk-rock energy, garage-rock grit and twisted romance. The song is the latest preview of The Hellflowers‘ third album, Haunted, that is due out in February 2027.
