The Fall‘s 2011 full length, Ersatz GB, is getting a 15th anniversary repress that will be released on the 17th October on limited edition transparent blue vinyl via Cherry Red Records. The album marked the first time in the history of The Fall that the group released three consecutive studio albums that were recorded with the same line-up.
Ersatz GB was produced by The Fall‘s late frontman Mark E. Smith and frequent collaborator and former bass guitarist Simon ‘Ding’ Archer. In his sleeve notes for the album, Smith wrote that “brighter mixes and versions existed but these were dismissed because brightness does not fit with ‘Erzatz GB’!”
