To wear your heart on your sleeve means being open about your feelings and thoughts instead of hiding them. What once lay buried deep inside now finds its way to the surface through the five songs on Heart On Your Sleeve; honest, vulnerable stories ranging from heartbreaking fresh starts and painful insecurities and fears to the celebration of all their flaws.
In a world where nothing ever seems to suffice, NEVVER remind us that we are enough exactly as we are. This message is embodied in the EP’s closing track, Flawed from the Get-go. Blending honesty with irony, the song explores finding your place in a toxic society driven by comparison and competition. The song reminds listeners of the dreams they may have forgotten and rekindles a spark within fading embers. Towards the end, a choir joins in and ignites that spark into a fire, echoing the voice of an entire generation.
