Millie Manders & The Shutup have released their new single, Age Disgracefully, that is now available through streaming platforms. The single is a furious blast, to paraphrase one notable critic, of prime Millie goodness, riddled with rage and catchy as hell. Age Disgracefully is released ahead of the band’s headline October and November UK tour that will see Millie Manders & The Shutup consciously playing more intimate venues than they have recently been used to, with support coming via four of the UK’s most impassioned and exciting emerging bands; The Empty Page from Manchester, Bugeye and Tokyo Taboo from London, and TOAST from Cheltenham. “Ageing, especially in front of the media or an audience, and even more so as a woman, is still largely seen as something we should all disapprove of. I have spent most of my life tearing myself apart in front of the mirror so I wrote these lyrics in part to try and shake myself, in part to inspire others to be kinder to themselves, and as a whole heap of fuck you to the amount of anti-ageing adverts I am bombarded with on a daily basis.” (Millie Manders)
