Rising pop-punk outfit Chasing The Fall have announced their signing to Manic Kat Records and are marking the occasion with their new single, City Lights, that will be issued on the 7th August, ahead of the release The Punk Site has been given an exclusive premiere of the single by those nice folks at Manic Kat Records. The Cheshire, UK crew’s new track is anthemic ode to ambition and taking a leap into the unknown, projected by the band’s driving guitars, heart-on-sleeve lyricism and unwavering urgency. Excited but never overawed by their own promising future, Chasing The Fall deliver a rousing anthem that harks to the 00s alternative rock stalwarts, as well as their pop-punk contemporaries.

“City Lights” is about coming from a small town and chasing something bigger. We wrote it during our stay in the States and that experience had a huge impact on the song. It captures the feeling of chasing your dreams whilst feeling scared, anxious and excited to take a chance and see where it can lead. Signing with Manic Kat Records is a huge moment for us. We met the guys at a show out in the States where they saw us performing live, which made it even more special. We’re really grateful for the opportunity and can’t wait to get stuck in.” (vocalist Andy McMullin)
