Some people might say that calling your band Twat Union is an exercise in self-sabotaging any hopes of a career in the music industry. Judging by their success so far after releasing just one short EP, those people could very well be wrong. Still riding high from the euphoria of their 2025 debut release, the band have released their second EP, Don’t Blame The Peach, which is out today via Alcopop! Records, the EP takes its name from one of their favourite lines from crowd-fave single Period Sex, ”you don’t blame the peach for the juice running down your hand“. Whether normalising the conversation around female masturbation on WFH, causing people to walk out of live shows with Period Sex, or examining the female existence and its rollercoaster of hormones on W.I.T.C.H, across the EP the band are never afraid to tackle a weighty subject with a little bit of humour.

“We’d played a lot of live shows before our EP release and built up a bit of a rep as a live band, so there was definitely a bit of anticipation from us in terms of being able to capture the live show on a record, but the response was amazing. I feel like the response to the EP really pushed us forward into taking the live show up a notch. We just can’t resist the theatrical bits and we have so much fun on stage with each other. Playing Glastonbury was such a massive moment for us. Just being able to leap around the stage and be silly with such a responsive crowd is exactly why we make music. Laughing just feels really good right?! And so does rage. So we think laughter mixed with rage and some heavy riffs is not only a good time, but an excellent recipe for letting off steam, especially in a room full of people that are having the same messy, silly, biological existence as you.” (vocalist Kate Mac)

With a run of UK headline dates on the horizon to celebrate the release of the EP, the band are currently planning a host of new gags, surprises, games and daftness for the live dates, so when it comes to a Twat Union tour, expect the unexpected.
