Feminist feral theatre-punks Twat Union have announced that their forthcoming EP, Don’t Blame The Peach, is set for release on 20th February via Alcopop! Records, the band have also shared their new single and video, Pay Me More. Twat Union will also be tour this Spring, the band’s gigs are fast becoming the stuff of legend, a chaotic punk experience unlike any other. There will be props, there will be line dancing, there will be shouting, there may even be a raffle (if you’re lucky).

“‘Don’t Blame The Peach’ is our twatty tribute to sexual liberation, lady rage and the messy biology of existing in our bodies. It covers wanking, periods, tiny teeny sexy shorts (and the cat calling that may follow), pay gaps and witchy truths… maybe the modern woman starter pack? We had SO much fun writing these tracks and we hope we have captured that joy in the humour and sound effects. It’s angry, kinda sexy (we think), silly on purpose (always) and exactly who we are as a band. AND, the record also finally unleashes long-time crowd favourite, absolutely totally not-radio-safe ‘Period Sex’, our mad, bloody monologue we can’t wait to scream into the world. We wrote ‘Pay Me More’ as a gender gap anthem that you can thrash to the next time you are pissed off at work. We wanted to capture that fucking EXHAUSTION of not being taken seriously, of watching your work go undervalued again and again, all because someone at work thinks you might be ‘fiery’ (when, we all know if you were a man, this would be seen as confidence…) This song is all about that rage that is bubbling away under all the politeness at your desk, when respect has to be requested, instead of given freely.”
