Newcastle, UK’s rising Emo Pop Punk trio Tired of Fighting have announced that their debut album, And Then Suddenly It Hits You, is set for release on April 17th 2026 via Punkerton Records. Alongside the announcement, the band shares their new single, Death Wish, a track that captures the band’s signature blend of early-2000s Emo urgency, soaring melodic hooks, and raw anthemic Punk energy. Steeped in influences from Motion City Soundtrack, Paramore, and The Gaslight Anthem, Death Wish finds Tired of Fighting honing a sound that feels both warmly familiar and distinctly their own. With infectious guitar lines and an emotionally charged vocal performance, the single offers a powerful preview of what listeners can expect from the forthcoming full length.
“I was quite a depressed and confused teenager growing up. As you get older, you do get to know yourself better, you develop coping mechanisms, and, hopefully, get more comfortable in your own skin. But as you grow, so do younger family members, friends, children, etc and you just pray that life is easier for them, that they don’t have to confront the same mental health issues you did. This song is a message to people who are maybe just starting to confront mental health issues to keep going. It’s about that moment that sparks you back into life again after a depressive episode. It can be a conversation with a friend, a passion that comes back to you all of a sudden, or a song you love. Hopelessness can be so debilitating, but it’s also a strength to know that it will pass, and it’s so wonderful when it does.” (vocalist and lyricist Nic Wood)
