Austin, TX’s The Oxys are intent on wrangling fans out of their world weary despondency with the news that their new studio album, Casting Pearls Before Swine, will be released on September 19th via Cleopatra Records. The Oxys will also be on tour in the US with Quinn The Brain on The Art Of Disruption Tour in the run up to the release of Casting Pearls Before Swine, with further tour dates to be announced.

“This is the most insidious of our three albums. It’s a raw and unflinching exploration of the human experience, delving into themes of obsessive love, the psychology of killers, the power of reinvention, and a critical view of today’s complacent society. Listeners will find themselves on a visceral journey through life’s struggles, the grip of addiction, and the will to survive.” (guitarist Ginchy)

“Writing lyrics for this record allowed me to delve into complex themes like compulsion, toxic relationships, and an intense, almost cinematic killer vibe, highlighted by the haunting true crime story of my Great Uncle Joe Ball, also known as the Butcher of Elmendorf. The universal tension between human acts that harm, and yet stimulate us, is something I wanted to explore. My aim was to capture raw emotion and make it resonate powerfully with listeners.” (frontman Phil Davis)
