Known for their genre-blending sound, sharp wit and unforgettable hooks, Southern California’s The Disassociates have carved out their own bold new space. The group burst onto the map with their 2024 debut album, No Reason This Can’t Be Fun, that was an explosive fusion of rock subgenres, layered with clever, boundary pushing lyrics and irresistibly catchy melodies. The Disassociates are continuing to build on their recent buzz with the release of a high octane cover of SZA’s chart-topping hit, Kill Bill. You can catch The Disassociates live at Los Banos, CA’s Henry Miller Plaza on the 17th and 30th May.

“‘Kill Bill’ was begging to be a rock song, SZA’s incredible lyrics are all about revenge, pettiness, violence, madness, a lot of themes we cover in our original music, so we were extremely drawn to this song. And it’s a Tarantino reference!? Come on, that’s so punk and dramatic, we live for it. The original was so beautiful, we just knew we had to make a high-energy mess of SZA’s masterpiece.”
