The Carolyn make Melodic Punk for overthinkers, underachievers and anyone barely keeping it together. The Atlanta, GA based trio’s third full length, Pyramid Scheme of Grief, is out today via 59 X Records and Disconnect Disconnect Records, the album is filled with unresolved feelings and the kind of choruses you loop while rethinking your life choices. The album sees The Carolyn tackle grief, burnout, and adulthood head on in short bursts, but with a focus on melody.
Pyramid Scheme of Grief is (probably) the band’s best yet and with no song over two minutes and thirty seconds, the album features eleven tracks of heartfelt Melodic Punk Rock which hit you in all the right places, from fist in the air Punk Rock ragers to melodic singalong Pop Punk songs and hints of more reflective Emo.
