Southern California’s Spark of Life have released their sophomore full length, Plagued By The Human Condition, via New Age Records. The album marks a bold step forward for the band, expanding their sonic range while staying true to the raw intensity and emotional depth that have defined them from the start. Plagued By The Human Condition shows the real progression Spark Of Life have gone through since their humble beginnings a quarter century ago, the album also shows just how hard hardcore can hit later in one’s life.

The songs from Plagued By The Human Condition are raw, anthemic, and painful all in the same instance. They also miraculously sound like a band being reborn, this is certainly not the way that the band imagined this particular group’s history, or their own personal lives, would have turned out when they started playing in a suburban garage all those years ago. But these days, you will find no one more grateful to see their creative spark rekindled than the five of them.

Spark of Life will be heading out on tour in the US, the tour kicks off on the 15th May at Pasadena, CA’s Old Towne Pub and runs through to the 27th June when the tour concludes at Tucson, AZ’s Groundworks where they will be accompanied by special guests from the New Age Records roster.
