Emotive punk band Spanish Love Songs have released their brand new acoustic single, Pendulum, that is the latest in a line of reworked songs under the title No Joy Sessions. These stripped versions of the songs from their 2023 album, No Joy, finds Spanish Love Songs finding peace in quieter moments and embracing the negative space.
“This version of Pendulum is a bit closer to the original song we scrapped in the studio, upbeat and driving. Speeding it up always changed how I would read or react to the lyrics. It softens them a bit, and I think it is why we ultimately slowed it down for the album. But I always loved both, so it’s nice to have a “happier” version out.” (vocalist Dylan Slocum)

Spanish Love Songs will play Furnace Fest on the 3rd October, the band will then be heading to Europe to perform a series of headline shows before joining Hot Water Music, Comeback Kid, Joyce Manor and more punk and alternative bands on the Common Thread travelling festival.
