South Korea’s 18Fevers have today released the Collection album on pink & black vinyl via Lavasocks Records in the US and Brassneck Records in the UK. The album contains eleven tracks culled from their previous releases, from the very first singles and their debut EP, Death Punk Disco, right up to their most recent EP, Cut Me Up. The band formed in 2021 as the pandemic was still raging and unrest was settling in. The name 18Fevers, with the word for “18” sounding very similar to “Fuck” in Korean, was a statement that the band was sick of the pandemic and what it had done to the world.

18Fevers set out to combine female fury and perspective with a more approachable danceable style that features hardcore punk, post punk, power pop, hip hop, EDM, and metal. The backbone of the band are groovy drums and bass that avoids cliche punk beats while the women attack with aggressive guitars and snarling but also heartfelt vocals, a sound the band has jokingly dubbed “death punk disco”. 18Fevers will be appearing at California’s Doll Fest in March and the UK’s Rebellion Festival in August
