Siouxie & The Skunks weren’t always a band, and their songs weren’t always songs. At the beginning, there was a film. Or maybe a character. Or maybe a scream. Marco, a lifelong film nerd, wrote a short story, Glory Hole. Siouxie played the part, and that part became something much louder than they expected: a band. That short film, still up on YouTube, turned into a song that was the final track of the band’s debut album, Songs About Cuddles, that was released in 2024 via Wild Honey Records. Now, that film becomes full circle: re-edited and transformed into an official music video. Glory Hole is a window into the twisted, tender world of Siouxie & The Skunks. Peek in now, this Summer might be your last chance before they lock themselves away to work on their next album.

Rough, raw, and drenched in garage sweat, Siouxie & The Skunks sound like what happens when you hand a bunch of reckless kids some instruments, lock them in a basement with too much punk and not enough common sense, and let them burn. Their music is a slap in the face, a teary ballad, a scream from the bathroom wall. Songs About Cuddles may sound soft, but there’s nothing tender about it. Their first EP, Songs About Girls, was a DIY heartbreak diary, full of stories that were never going to end well. With Songs About Cuddles, things just get louder. Live, they’ve become notorious for turning basements, dive bars, festivals and even private homes into glorious chaos.
