New England Garage Rock outfit Salem Wolves have skipped to the good part and released Greatest Hits, Vol. 2, a five-track collection that reimagines songs by Jawbreaker, The Replacements, Hüsker Dü, INXS and Tom Waits through the band’s gritty, surf-bitten lens. The EP is now available digitally on all platforms, with a Bandcamp first release in time for Bandcamp Friday. Where’s Volume 1, you ask? Better not to.
“Coming off our last record we were just looking to do something fun and not so conceptual. We’ve historically been opposed to learning covers, mainly because we’re lazy and only know so many chords. But this was a chance to play the songs we grew up loving, the secret architecture of our taste and style.” (vocalist & guitarist Gray Bouchard)
