London’s own spell slinging Anarcho Punk coven, Rites of Hadda, are set to return with their most explosive and politically charged release to date, Inevitable Machete, on the pagan festival of Samhain, the 31st October, via Grow Your Own Records. A blistering invocation of rage, ritual, and resistance, Inevitable Machete fuses raw Punk urgency with Goth, Glam, and a defiant queer edge. Across seven unrelenting tracks, Rites of Hadda deliver a sonic spellbook for the end times, calling out land rights, captivity, fascism, ecological collapse, and the ghosts of hate crime with equal parts fury and flamboyance. Following up their acclaimed debut Witchpunk, ignored second album The Horned God and third personal album Occult Sex Worker, this album sees the band pushing further into the theatrical and the confrontational. With lyrics that seethe and howl, and riffs that hit like molotovs, Inevitable Machete is both a curse and a cure.

With their signature ritualistic live shows and defiantly DIY spirit, Rites of Hadda continue to carve out a space where radical politics, identity, and sonic rebellion collide. Both spell and statement, Inevitable Machete demands to be felt and not ignored. Rites of Hadda will be celebrating the release of their album the weekend following the album’s release, on the 7th November they will play Deptford’s The Bird’s Nest with Amass and Dinosaur Skull and on the 8th November they will appear at Hastings GYO Fest.

“This album is for the outsiders, the witches, the weirdos, the resistors. It’s a scream against the machine, but also a reminder that tongue-poking fun, fury and resistance go hand in hand.” (front person Wasperella)
