Kentucky fried cowpunk legends Nine Pound Hammer have released their earliest known studio recording, 1987 Revisited. The recordings were found stashed away in lead singer Scott Luallen’s basement sandwiched between a well-worn VHS copy of Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 and an old case of Stroh’s, these demos pre-date Nine Pound Hammer’s infamous debut, The Mud, The Blood, And The Beers. This ten track relic features the first ever recordings of fan favorites like Redneck Romance, Bye, Bye, Glenn Frey and the ‘new’ single Crawdaddy. It’s as close as you can get to hearing Nine Pound Hammer in their earliest, rawest form, short of hopping in a time machine.
“We couldn’t believe how good this sounded, and it definitely captured the rawboned, Estill County fog-log fueled session of 1987,” (Scott Luallen)
