Irish Glam Punk band Needy Pet have released their second single, Alpha Male, that hits you with a two minute blast of feminist punk delivered with righteous anger by frontwoman Jenny Q. The song is a satirical takedown of insecure masculinity in the present day that was recorded with producer Stefano Vita, who recorded the band’s debut single, Mental Health. Needy Pet have also announced they will be performing their debut headline show on the 28th February 2026 at Dundalk’s Spirit Store.

“The song was inspired by asinine podcasts aimed at men, but it’s more so taking aim at the weird imaginary ideal of what a man should be by men like Andrew Tate, and weird far right grifters. But I also had fun with the lyrics. It’s a catchy one.” (Jenny Q)
