Oakland, CA queer punks Middle-Aged Queers have released a music video for Pajama Party, the latest single off their new full length, Theatre of Shame, that is available via Sell The Heart Records and Engineer Records. Amid three years of touring, including several stops at festivals like Montreal’s Pouzza Fest, Punk Rock Bowling, LA’s Recess Romp, Camp Punksylvania and Gainsville’s FEST, the band made time to churn out another batch of queercore bangers. Now, Middle-Aged Queers, voted “Best Live Band” for five consecutive years by the Bay Area Reporter, have released a brand new music video.
“Inspired by the true events of our drummer Niki’s worst year ever, ‘Pajama Party’ is a love letter to your friends who are going through it. Sometimes, the only thing you, as a friend, are capable of is inflicting your toxic positivity as a distraction. And sometimes that manifests in showing up at someone’s house uninvited with a box of pizza. Shot and directed by the talented Val Sepeda, the music video evokes the perfect dreamlike slumber party we envisioned when writing the tune for Niki back in 2023.” (vocalist Shauners)

Featuring ex-members of The Cost, Fang, The Insaints, and The Shondes, Middle-Aged Queers are a Bay Area “supergroup” of seasoned punks on a mission to make punk rock gay again. Middle Aged Queers are still on the road and will be playing an all ages show at 924 Gilman in Berkeley, CA on the 20th September with Ninety Pound Wuss, Too Bad Eugene, and Laguna Screech.
