Double Helix Records have announced that they will release a new split 7″ record featuring Mercy Music and Danger Days, both bands are fuelled by honest songwriting, unflinching energy and a love for punk in all its raw, melodic glory. The split EP can be pre-saved / ordered here ahead of it’s digital release on June 27th and vinyl issue on July 11th, the EP is a snapshot of two bands on different ends of the globe, but united by a shared spirit.

Las Vegas’ Mercy Music open the EP with Big Fucking Mess, a searing anthem that balances melody with emotional firepower. Led by Brendan Scholz, with longtime collaborators Jarred Cooper and Ryan Seaman, the trio delivers a song that lives up to its name: cathartic, chaotic, and deeply human. Fresh off their Bill Stevenson (Descendents) produced album, What You Stand To Lose, the track proves once again that punk can still hit you in the chest and leave a mark on your soul.

Flipping the record over, Danger Days explode with Wasted Time, a no frills, heart on sleeve punk ripper. Comprised of members from Millencolin, The Rabble, Movin In Stereo and Flirting With Disaster, Danger Days is an international collective bonded by friendship, passion and a love of loud guitars. No gimmicks. No ego. Just a straight shot of punk rock purity.
