Lower Class Brats have released a reissue of their album, Rather Be Hated Than Ignored, via TKO Records. Originally released on CD in 1997 by GMM Records, Rather Be Hated Than Ignored served as Lower Class Brats’ raucous statement of intent that served to quickly and definitively establish the the band’s style, and their legacy. Rather Be Hated Than Ignored has now been remastered, repackaged, restored and pressed on black and white vinyl variants, and, for the first time ever, the original track sequence is available on a vinyl edition.

Lower Class Brats helped usher in a new wave of American working class Punk Rock whose reverberations are still being felt nearly three decades years after the fact. Heavy on melody, attitude, and a distinctly American sense of confrontation, Rather Be Hated Than Ignored remains a foundational entry in the American Street Punk canon.
