Birmingham, UK’s Last Hounds have released their new EP, STRNGEWRLD, via Venn Records. To mark the occasion the band have teamed up with video producer Morgan Tedd to shoot a “one taker” for their new single, Out of Touch, a song that demonstrates the band’s ability to slow things down, as well as speed things up.
“Out of Touch” comes from feeling like we’re always trying to move forward but never really saying what needs to be said. It’s about second-guessing ourselves, feeling out of sync, and carrying the weight of things left unspoken. It came from a place of frustration and honesty, wanting progress, wanting connection, but realising how often silence and avoidance get in the way. “We never talk enough” is a confession. All three songs come from the same place of burnout, honesty, and trying to figure out how to exist in a noisy, messy world without losing yourself. It’s just us working through our doubt, anger, and learning when to sit with it, or when to say “enough is enough“. 2025 blew past every expectation we could have imagined. We spent the year meeting old and new fans in cities and countries we’d only dreamed of, playing to crowds bigger and wilder than anything we’d ever experienced. It pushed us to explore new depths in our music and to speak more honestly about what matters to us. For us, this isn’t just music, it’s about energy, connection, and collaborating with people we’ve long admired. We can’t wait to see what 2026 holds for us. There’s no telling where it will take us but we’re grateful to do what we love, and even more grateful when people stop, listen, and feel it with us.” ((bass player Ben Taylor))
