Jo-Jo & The Teeth have announced that they will release their new single, Whiskey Dreams, on September 12th, the band are also set to release a remastered edition of their 2022 album, No More Good News, with a trio of remastered singles, MoonChild, We’re Just Animals and HellHound, now available through streaming platforms. The instrumentation on Whiskey Dreams was recorded by bassist Max Battista at London’s Teeth Studios, the vocals were captured at Kent’s The Albion Rooms by Jason Stafford and the single was mixed & mastered by Steve Twomey.

“This song was written about the pervasiveness and the near perversion of alcoholism in the music industry. It’s about sexism in rock’n’roll, it’s about the apathy and the disillusion. It’s about the reality of a working class band. It’s about believing in the dream and leaving it all out on the stage – blood, sweat, tears and every ounce of my heart, body and soul – only to be paid in empty promises by industry egos and free booze. It’s about finding our way in a broken industry where everyone wants a piece of you and no one seems to care about the music, only the party. It’s a song about digging real deep to find that little girl who just loved to sing, and trying to quiet the mind of a woman at war.” (vocalist Jo-Jo O’Donoghue)
