Stoughton, MA’s Energy have returned with their brand new single, What Should Have Been, that is now available via streaming platforms and Bandcamp, the track represents the first new original material from the band since the release of their 2017 full length Under The Mask.

“It had been seven long years of me being unable to write a full compostition, and I felt a sense of urgency to write something just before Valentine’s Day of 2024 in secret to present to my partner live in the comfort of our home as a surprise. It took me only two hours to write, and broke my creative dry spell. After performing it, she requested that I keep playing the song for her while she created the piece of art that is used for this song. And yes…she cried.” (frontman Jason Tankerley)
