Vancouver’s Die Job are set to release their new EP, Hazards Of Occupation, on the August 8th via Kinda Cool Records, the band have now revealed The One Where Cyrus Has Friends, the final single from their upcoming EP. With cutting social commentary and searing electric Viola dancing centre stage, Die Job deliver a unique brand of poetic protest music with explosive drums, expressive bass lines and enough heart to keep you singing along with every word.
“This is a poetic, yet rowdy journey through the ups and downs of friendship. The wordplay in this cathartic anthem isn’t just a clever trick, it’s a tool to process grief and contemplate mortality. A triumph for fans of the golden era of Skate Punk, it hints at the speed and harmony of NOFX, while winking with a Rancid like swagger. Soulful & fun, this song burns bright in honour of everyone we’ve loved & lost… because through art, they live on forever!” (vocalist & guitarist Cyrus Lord)
