Captured in Gainesville, Florida during The Fest‘s legendary punk-filled weekend, the latest DCxPC Live split 12″ brings together two forces from opposite ends of the punk rock spectrum: Northern Virginia’s melodic torchbearers Celebration Summer and Florida’s lycanthropic Punk pranksters Wolf-Face. Pressed on limited edition ‘Summer moon’ vinyl, the record is a raw, unfiltered snapshot of two explosive live sets that turned The Fest into a frenzy. Together, these performances showcase the breadth and vitality of today’s DIY punk scene: Celebration Summer‘s emotionally charged precision on one side, Wolf-Face‘s wild-eyed punk theater on the other. More than a record, Live at The Fest is a time capsule of two bands giving everything to a room full of believers.
Formed in 2019, Celebration Summer delivers melodic punk rooted in DC’s tradition of pairing sharp hooks with sharp ideas. Drawing on influences like Leatherface and Samiam, their sound blends personal vulnerability with political urgency. Live, they’re all anthemic choruses, driving rhythms, and sincerity.
For over a decade, Wolf-Face has brought its werewolf Punk mythology to sweaty stages across the country. Led by the legendary Michael J. Wolf, the St. Petersburg, Florida outfit combines satirical humor with blistering, high-energy punk inspired by bands like Descendents and The Misfits. Expect snarls, lore, short shorts, and chaos in a set is all teeth and sweat.
