Bayonne, NJ Art Punkers Crazy & The Brains have released their brand new single, Fantasy. Produced by Tim Armstrong (Rancid / Transplants / Hellcat Records), the track is an anthemic dedication to taking the risk and living life as your true self, it also has a cool new wave bounce. Fantasy was recorded at Armstrong’s studio in L.A. and was mostly improvised on the spot with frontman Christoph Jesus and Armstrong bouncing ideas off each other in the studio. In fact, the session went so well that the band is recording an album with Armstrong as you read this and a second single will be released via Hellcat Records next month.

“The dude who wrote all my favorite songs is sitting next to me writing songs with me. When it came time to sing, I improved my instinctual gut feelings. The lyrics turned out to be reflective of everything it took to get here. ‘Fantasy’ is about commitment and perseverance. Throughout life there have been many voices that have attempted to convince me to live small or that my biggest dreams are only fantasies. This song is an alternative perspective. It’s an encouragement to create your identity as you see fit. It’s an expression of dedication to your passions and the people you love through good and bad.” (Singer Christoph Jesus)
