Dinosaur Jr. are set to release The Black Session on CD via Cherry Red Records on the 14th November. The session was recorded live in Paris on the 2nd March 1993 and features nine urgent Dinosaur Jr. classics performed at arguably the band’s ‘90s peak as a live outfit, the recordings are also a snapshot of the J Mascis, Mike Johnson and Murph era as it neared its end.

The Black Session is remastered from the original tapes and features exclusive live versions of tracks from across the band’s career up to that point, including Freak Scene and Just Like Heaven. This is the first official release of the recordings on CD which follow on from the 2024 vinyl edition of The Black Session, the CD version can be pre-ordered here and the vinyl is available here.
