East Coast crew Burp. have released their new single, Checkers, via streaming platforms. The track splashes the band’s riffy punk with weighty grunge tones on a reactive and gritty offering that captures the band’s sonic dexterity, as well as the bitterness of a relationship coming to an end.

“Checkers actually takes the first riff I ever wrote back when I was 13 and turns that into a full song. Lyrically and Nathan (Richer, Guitar) wrote the song from the perspective of someone who is bitter that someone left him behind, but refuses to self-reflect in any meaningful way.” (vocalist Leo Folan)
