London-via-Athens based Punks Burnt Tapes have released their sophomore album, New Lungs, via Wiretap Records, Lockjaw Records and Nasty Cut Records. New Lungs is Burnt Tapes at their most vulnerable, loud and lyrically raw, leaning deeper into their gruff, melodic sound that blends heartbreak, bitterness and introspection with cathartic choruses and downbeat honesty. This is a record about regret, resilience and the heavy lifting it takes to move forward, one night, one fight and one breath at a time. Burnt Tapes will also be playing an album release show at Camden’s The Black Heart on the 19th September with support from Making Friends & Modern Shakes.

“We started writing this album 3 years ago and it’s finally out in the world. It was a painful process at times… and inspirational at others. A labour of love & hate and everything in between. We hope you’ll find it strikes a balance between everything you’ve come to enjoy in a Burnt Tapes record, and so much more (with plenty of teeth references obvs). Can’t wait for you all to spin it.”
