The album follows directly on from where 2020’s Hopes & Dreams album left off, although it takes a darker more aggressive tone reflective of the writing process taking place during those intense pandemic years.

Reaching even further across genres than Better Than The Book‘s usual Ska and Pop Punk tones and Rock experimentation, Side Character In My Own Life is Better Than The Book‘s most ambitious release to date!
