New York based Glam Punk outfit Bad Mary have today unleashed their debut sixteen track live full length, Live on Long Island, via streaming platforms, the album is a 16 track collection recorded live and rowdy on the band’s home turf that celebrates the band’s high-octane stage energy. Recorded at Industry in Huntington, NY during their EP release show with friends Mega Infinity, the band knew it was the perfect time to capture their live sound. With audio pulled straight from the board and a trio of videographers capturing the show, guitarist David Henderson led the creation of live videos for each song as well as a complete concert film. In addition to the live album, the band are currently writing and recording a brand new studio album that is set for release later this year.
“We’ve always wanted to do a live album. We write our music first and foremost to be performed live. We want to have a good time playing, and we want to perform songs that are equally fun for the audience. We’re all in the show together. We wanted to pick a setlist that hit all the highs of the past 12/13 years. These 16 songs represent our journey, from our first album to our newest originals, with all the live energy and crowd reactions we thrive on. We wanted to include all the bits, the jokes, the stage banter, everything that makes our shows feel personal. David did an incredible amount of work and created something that’s uniquely us in every way.” (bassist Mike Staub)
Live on Long Island spans Bad Mary‘s full catalog, including tracks from 2016’s Killing Dinosaurs, 2017’s Glitter Bomb, 2023’s Trash & Glamour, 2024’s Mega Bad Disaster Party, and their cover of Queen‘s Tie Your Mother Down from 2022’s Rock ‘N Roll Classics: Vol. 7.
