After many pints, miles on the national express and very few practices, Diaz Brothers are back with their new full length, The World Is Yours, that is now available via Serial Bowl Records. Recorded at Sunderland’s Bunker by Phil Jackson, The World Is Yours is an impressively mature and accomplished set of perfectly crafted melodic punk rock for a band that only practices once every couple of months. Diaz Brothers are also on tour in the UK this month, including appearances at Chapelfest and Slugfest.

“Whilst the lyrics are often somewhat melancholy, we genuinely believe the world is there for everyone to make the best of it. Life is too short – if you want something, then go out and get it. It’s the same principle as anyone can form a band. The songwriting process with Diaz is a bit more problematic than some bands as there is a huge distance between me and the rest of the band. We share ideas over WhatsApp pretty regularly and then get together every couple of months and jam them out. It just seems to work, and we gel together really well, not just as a band but as mates. Having a good doss is the primary aim, with a few nice tunes as a by-product!” (guitarist Neil Cox)
