Grab your Ray-Bans, a glass of Margarita and listen to Change Our Ways, a Summer Pop Punk party anthem from London’s Barking Poets that follows hot on the heels of their previous single, Losing Contact. Their new single was written by drummer Conor Heary as a reflection of the pandemic lockdown periods. It’s part joyous, with a raised glass to all the bands and musicians who kept going despite the music industry effectively closing down, and part existential doubting, are we fools for continuing to do this with no reward? Ultimately it’s a song of stubbornness and defiance.

Change Our Ways is now available through streaming platforms via Engineer Records, the track is accompanied by a video that was shot in Blackpool, UK in March 2025 starring the very hairy, brash and slobbery Pooch Pistols. When these massive K9’s are not being rock stars they are training with their friends from Blackpool Working Newfoundland Group to help save lives in the water. You can donate via GoFundMe to help this amazing charity. Barking Poets will also be playing a run of UK tour dates following the release of the single.
